I’m often asked about the meaning of our agency’s name, Base Beauty. While many business names are arbitrary or perhaps named after a person, our name says a lot about what we do. We’re digital marketing and creative specialists in the beauty and wellness space. In the language of beauty, the base is the foundation, the smooth canvas, the support system upon which everything else is built. Whether you’re applying makeup or looking to level up your brand’s impact, the base is the first step. That’s the overarching description of what we do for our clients, providing full-service, creative marketing solutions to launch brands, revive brands, and grow brands.
Drilling down to how we do it, our name continues to define our four-step process:
- B is for Building Insights. We start with extensive social listening, talking to all stakeholders, audits in Brandwatch and Tagger to gather data across multiple platforms, including from our clients’ competitors, to learn all we can about how our clients’ products are being seen.
- A is for Assessment and Analysis as we translate those insights into key strategies, identifying white space and opportunities to sharpen messaging, change or start targeted conversations, clarify brand pillars, and fill the creative toolbox.
- S stands for Strategy into Action, planning the most effective ways to blend our learning with our data-driven creativity and brainstorm the tactical route to actually reaching consumers.
- E is execution, where the work comes to life as we map the consumer’s pathway to purchase with a digital-first approach to optimize reach and amplify messaging across every digital marketing channel—digital, retail, and beyond.
